Matthew 22.

- Jesus reduced the law of God down into two simple commands and neither of them has anything to do with not smoking cigars or not drinking beer. Jesus said, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind” and “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Pretty succinct, eh?

Matthew 23.

- Jesus went postal on the nefarious religious leaders of his day, in the most epic smack down ever recorded in the entirety of Scripture. It was a public rebuke that was anything but sweet. He verbally dropped kicked them into next week; exposing their hypocrisy and abuses and pronounced seven curses on their pretty, little, religious heads. Truly awesome, terrifying denunciations delivered by a Christ who had gotten fed up with their crap. It’s a must read. Especially in light of the fact that most churches will never preach on them because they’re so rough and Christianettes don’t like hard sayings… they love only to have their souls stroked on Sunday.
